Artist Sabrina Goucher tells us about her fantastic photography project.
She told us:
These two images are part of an on going experimentation process where I cover any willing model in a mixture of flour and paint. I really like how the mixture cracks when dry, especially the places of the body which move the most, thus creating an older and sometimes (especially in this case) surreal effect. I shot here using a pretty simple set up, off camera flash and a 50mm lens so that I could just about pick out the eyes and surrounding areas, leaving the rest out of focus. I then went on to see how far I could push the processing, and ended up with the second image, which has an altogether different feel. Its almost what I would call daedric… a vision only nightmares could produce.
