Crowstone fell to his knees. Thacnor approached, laughing.
“So we are met, and so we are seen as enemies. You are beaten, old man,” Thacnor said.
Thacnor worked magic between his hands. A shadow light that glowed a sickly, poisonous green.
Crowstone raised out his arms and with no more than a whisper beckoned all the power of the Westwind into himself. The wind tore through the battle, and swept the old man away with a great silvery gust, as though all he had ever been was an illusion of smoke. Nothing more.
