Photographer Tom Horemans tells us a little about his series of “persona” images.

“They started out being a reflection on Jung’s idea of persona, but ended up just having fun covering up faces. All these pictures were taken at an exhibition earlier this year and are of visitors at the exhibition (I had set up a small studio in the basement). The pictures (instant film – positive side) were added instantly to the total work which grew during the expo.”

Tom Horemans (b. Belgium 1976) is a literature scholar turned civil servant turned amateur photographer. He experiments with a lot of equipment and techniques, but lately works mostly with peel-apart instant film (Polaroid or Fuji). The camera he used for this is the Polaroid 600SE with the standard 127mm lens or with a self-made bodycap pinhole. His submissions to Snake-Oil Cure can be found here.
