Artist Suzie Chaney tells us this great image from a series of photos from the Festival des Arts de la Marionette:
“This photograph was shot with a Mamiya DSX 500 onto Fujifilm Superia 200. I only ever shoot with film in terms of creating photographs, digital is used just for sketchbook work or simple documentation. Generally I use a Pentax Spotmatic but it was being repaired and I was using this camera during the Festival des Arts de la Marionette in Mirepoix. It was the first time I had ever used it and I was very pleased with how the images turned out. I always have a loaded film camera in my bag and I am always looking for opportunities for picture-making. More pictures I took at the festival can be seen here.”

Suzie Chaney is an artist living and working in Aude in SW France. Although her degree is in sculpture, she works in many different ways, always seeking to express ideas about fragility yet strength, a sense of other worldliness, or the slightly bizarre.
